2019 SCOLARSHIP OF OBSERVATORI ASTRONÒMIC ALBANYÀ (OAA)
On 30th April, the 2019 Observatori Astronòmic Albanyà scholarship was handed over. The scholarship program was made durgin 1st, 2nd & 3rd April, and was based on three intensive formation days, for A level students from Alt Empordà.
One of the students, Robert Vila (Alexandre Deulofeu institute), was the grant holder, with an average grade of 10 out of 10. Thanks to the scholarship, he will be part of the European scientist expedition Shelios – Perseids 2019, that will observe the dark sky and these meteor showers under the great Sahara sky.
The Observatori Astronòmic Albanyà scholarship program is targeted towards 15-16 year old High School students in Alt Empordà region with interest in science and technology. Participating High Schools selected up to two students to participate in the scholarship program.
